Respect for All

Every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected.
Since launching in 2007, NYC Public Schools' Respect for All (RFA) program has helped City schools across the five boroughs to foster and maintain safe learning environments that are supportive, inclusive, and free from discrimination, harassment, and intimidation of any kind. Every day, young New Yorkers walk into schools where respect for one another is daily practice, and safety is essential.
Today, the RFA program continues to build NYCPS staff members' capacity to create and sustain inclusive school climates where students feel valued, supported, and safe. Thanks to RFA, bullying and harassment have no place in any of NYC's 1,800+ schools, regardless of anyone's perceived race, color, age, creed, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship/immigration status, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, or weight.
